About INIT

INIT is a web studioand a website platform. Those are twodifferent purchases.

INIT is a web studio and a website platform, both based in Almaty. A subscription to a ready-made site costs from 12,800 ₸ a month: you take one of the 26 themed sites, put in your own copy and photos, and publish. 3 days in the admin panel, no card, to work out whether this suits you. A bespoke build is from 1,500,000 ₸: your own design, your own logic, integrations. The rest of the page is about how the two differ and which one to start with.

Approach

Three things that decide whether a project ever launches

Projects stall in the same few places. Nobody can say what the site is for. The result only shows up at the very end. The copy gets written apart from the design.

Five blocks of increasing height stand in a row, the tallest one topped with a red marker
Focus

Goal first, sections after

We start with one question: what should happen after someone opens the site. A call, an enquiry, a drive over to your showroom. Only then do we pick the sections. A block that does nothing for that answer stays out of the first version. It can go in later, once there is a reason for it.

Speed

We show progress weekly, not on handover day

The work-in-progress version sits at a link you can open whenever you like. Changing direction in week two costs one conversation. Changing the same thing once everything is assembled is a rebuild, and somebody pays for a rebuild.

Team

Design, copy and code in one cycle

We don't write the copy afterwards to fit a finished mock-up. We don't draw the mock-up around copy that doesn't exist yet either. That is usually what forces everything to be rearranged later. Designer, writer and developer go through the project together.

How we work

Five steps, and the last one is a handover, not a delivery

Every project starts with context: who your customer is, how they make the decision, what they ask most often before buying, and what should happen once they open the site. The order of the steps is not there for looks. Each one stands on what the previous one turned up.

01

We work through the context, not the brief

We do not ask which pages you want; we ask how people buy from you. Who signs off, what they ask before buying, where deals usually fall apart. Half the pages on the original list normally disappear at this step and different ones take their place.

1–2 sessions

A list of journeys and objections

02

We define the structure and the key journeys

A page map grows out of the journeys: what a visitor sees first, what second, and where they go next. This is where it is decided whether the site will work or merely exist.

Before the estimate

A map of pages and paths

03

We agree a strong but realistic first release

We state separately what is not in the first release and why that is fine. Saying no at this step costs a conversation; the same no halfway through the build costs a week.

One conversation

Release boundaries, in writing

04

We build interface, copy and analytics in one cycle

Pages appear at a test address as they are finished. You review a live site rather than a mock-up: on a phone, with real copy and enquiry forms that actually submit.

A weekly iteration

Working pages you can open

05

We hand over control

We show how to change copy, a price, a photo or a section, how to add a service and how to translate a page into another language. Going live does not close a project. What closes it is the day the owner edits the site without us.

Half a day

The owner edits the site alone

Two formats

A subscription to a ready-made site, or a bespoke build

Most businesses need a site that works more than they need a site nobody else has. The subscription covers that at 12,800 ₸ a month, and the site is live minutes after you sign up. A bespoke build, from 1,500,000 ₸, is our own service for the case where the site becomes part of the product: unusual logic, integrations, a customer account. The line runs roughly like this.

When this is your optionYou need a site that works, not a unique oneThe site is part of the product, not a shop window

Both formats are ours, so moving between them breaks nothing. Start on the subscription at 12,800 ₸ a month and commission the unusual part later: while it is being built, the site and the enquiries carry on exactly as before.

Outcome

What a business gets, and what we do not promise

On the left is what the whole thing was for: a clear offer, a mobile version somebody checked on a phone, enquiries on a kanban board, and the ability to edit the site yourself. On the right are the limits of the work. We name them before we start, not after the invoice.

What the business gets

A tool you can use, not a page you can look at

  • A clear offer on the opening screen — what you do and for whom, not a slogan
  • A mobile version checked on a phone rather than in a narrow browser window
  • Contact points where a person is already ready to write, not only in the footer
  • Enquiries in one place: a kanban board showing who is at which step
  • An enquiry card that names the page it came from, so you know what worked
  • The site in three languages, if you need it in three
  • The ability to change copy, a price or a photo yourself, without raising a ticket

What we do not do

What you should not expect from us. We say so in advance rather than later

  • Promise search rankings: we build structure and speed, we do not control results
  • Hand over a site only we can change afterwards
  • Call a project finished if changing a phone number needs a developer
  • Call unfinished work finished: a section still in progress is labelled as such
  • Launch a page nobody on your side is responsible for keeping up to date
  • Connect paid services quietly — anything that costs money is agreed beforehand
The principle underneath everything

A website only its maker can change is not an asset  it is a dependency.

That is why handing over control is part of the work rather than a bonus after it. The owner must be able to change a price, add a service, remove a section and translate a page without us. Until that is true the project is not finished, however well it presents.

Principles

Four rules we make decisions by

Each one has cost us money at some point, and each one stayed because the alternative cost more.

The dry facts about both formats

The subscription costs from 12,800 ₸ a month, a bespoke build from 1,500,000 ₸. The full table of plans and modules lives on the pricing page. Collected here is everything else that does not change from one project to the next.

Questions

What people ask about us most often

People ask the same things about a company. Answers, without the founders' biography.

Next

Tell us what needs launching and we will name the format, the timeline and the price

A couple of sentences is enough: what the business is, what should happen after somebody opens the site, and by when. We will tell you what we see and suggest the next step.

  • The subscription is from 12,800 ₸ a month, a bespoke build from 1,500,000 ₸
